- In Ephesians 6, the word shows us the spiritual armor, we as believers have available to us. The shield of faith is the only defense piece of the armor. It is with our faith being prominent in our lives, that we are able to withstand the on slot of the enemy. (Ephesians 6:16)
- On the shield, and as a family crest, is the cross. Which represent the salvific work of Jesus Christ, atoning the sins of man. It is centered, as Christ should be in our lives. (John 20:31, Romans 8:10-11)
Word of God
- We are a bible-based church, meaning we purpose ourselves based on what the bible teaches. Just as the people are standing on the word, it is our rule and guide of faith. (John 1:1, 14; 5:24; 14:24)
People
- The people represent the church (Ecclesia), with reason to celebrate. Those who have accepted the redemption in Christ Jesus, should exhibit active praise through our lives. (John 3:16, Romans 12:1-2)
The Colors
- Green – is associated with healthy and growing plant life. It represents the new life we have in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 6:4)
- Blue – is associated with new birth, which leads to holiness/sanctification, through the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit. (Numbers 15:38-40, John 4:13-14; 7:37-39, John 3:5)
The Numbers (6+1=7)
- The number six often represent the weakness of man and the manifestation of sin, as man was created on the sixth day. The number one often is associated with unity, the act or state of being united as one. The numbers six (6 people figures) and one (the shield, our unity as a church), equals to seven. The number seven is completeness, and represents our completeness in Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Philippians 1:6, Hebrews 13:21)
